With more than 27,000 medical practitioner members, the Australian Medical Association is the premier organisation of doctors in Australia. As the peak health advocacy organisation, it exists to advance the professional interests of doctors and the health of the community.
The AMA has a Federal structure with State and Territory AMAs, which focus primarily on state matters, and a Canberra-based Federal body which deals with national issues.
The Queensland Branch of the Australian Medical Association, AMA Queensland, is an active campaigner for the rights of patients, better services in the public system, guaranteed freedom of choice in the private system, and the right to retain access to Australia's high standards of medicine.
AMA Queensland also supports the Australian Health System through dedicated Recruitment and Training services.
Recruitment
Since 1960, AMA Queensland and its subsidiaries have been operating a highly professional medical recruitment service specialising in the recruitment of medical practitioners for positions throughout Australia.
AMA Queensland also provides dedicated recruitment services to Nurses and the Allied Health sector.
